i suspect it is later, I will post update in future. I have a doubt whether this is actually blank ink or color ink is printing black color. However, when I print I can see black ink is getting printed. The printer still says it has not detected the black cartridge (because the LED light for black cartridge is constantly on). So after reading everyone post above, I also just applied clear masking tape on the complete contact points of the black cartridge and then inserted it. I figured out for it to accept the Color cartridge I have to Reset the printer (instruction for HP deskjet reset is available on internet), however, it never accepted black cartridge, it always show Black cartridge Indicator LED blinking meaning it is not recognizing the refilled cartridge. In my old printer, I could refill old cartridge & keep using printer, but this new HP DESKJET 2135 never accepts refilled cartridge. I understand that that your Printer keeps saying there is paper in the ADF eventhough it's empty. This is a great place to get support, find answers and tips. The solution to use the photosmart pc based software for scanning will not suffice Please assist, this device is relatively new and a significant investment has been made in buying ink for it I need a solution that addresses the sensor failure or a procedure to remove the ADF and replace with an alternate ADF (I have a second 7520 with a working ADF but with a very worn printer mech). All rollers are cleaned as per other advise, the rest procedure was followed and the power up/down procedure was followed with no positive resolution. The small motor that drives the gearchain to pull the paper through the ADF only runs for a second befoee the error message occurs. The sensor moves but does not register the paper being loaded. The swtich sensor inside the ADF does not make the noise it used to when paper was inserted. The problem occured while using the flatbed scanner and constantly opening and closing the scanner lid. This results in the printer being unable to scan from the flatbed glass or the ADF. Photosmart 7520 printer believes that paper is in the automatic document feeder and is not inserted correctly.
